cook's log

I like to think of myself as an avid home cook. I love researching recipes, seeing what makes them work, and challenging myself to replicate harder ones. I mostly bake since I have a disastrous sweet tooth, however, I love nothing more than throwing things together in a smoking wok. This log attempts to record some of my cooking/baking endeavours.

24.04.22 / Handmade tagliatelle - though I would call it udon the way I didn't roll it thin enough. Served with a mushroom sauce and some proscuitto I had lying around.

17.04.22 / Crepe cake (slice) with strawberries.

12.04.22 / Banana Bread, as promised. Made too much batter for my poor loaf tin, so the cake tin had to do. Also made chai.

05.04.22 / Banana oat cookies. Using up bananas, will be making banana bread once my bananas are riper.

28.03.22 / Olive oil cake. This was a trend I actually thought was worthwhile. Unfortunately the rainy weather didn’t match the summery-ness of this light cake.

10.03.22 / Lime tartlets. Need an actual tart tin and not just a deep cookie sheet.
